I’m so thankful to Nora Beth, my costume or Boo pulled together this great little G string in no time at all. When I was in Detroit headlining the dirty show I also did a show at Cliff’s bells, one of my favorite places to perform with Miss Hollyhock. She is a burlesque staple in Detroit and one hell of a showgirl! Miss Hollyhock also really enjoys vintage and antique rarities much like I do.
I was really honored and excited to perform with her because I was featuring my 1920s antique circus keep on her stage that is a beautiful 1920s cabaret style joint with an incredible Art Deco sun explosion from 1920 that beautifully matched my cape.
I love talking with Miss Hollyhock about Vintage and I love to see her face when I bring vintage items when I perform with her. But I was so shocked when she handed me this gift after my performance. It was a beautiful 1920s art deco hamsa, hand of God or eye of God aplique.
I carefully packed it in my suitcase and it made it home unscathed! I swiftly handed it over to Nora Beth and asked her to make me a G string because with that long black and red fringe, I knew it would look incredible. And it certainly does! I will be using this G string in a photo shoot with Jeremy this week, I’m so excited!
Here are some of the photos she took for documentation while in the process of making this G string.
