or as her folks called her, Gertrude Goldberg. What can I say? She was the “Golden Girl from the Golden West,"
Goldie was known for her work with famed pinup photographer, Irving Claw.
Irving was known for pushing boundaries with fetish and burlesque style pin up photo spreads. He documented many of the legends of pinup such as Bettie Page, much like he did with This super star. However, Goldie was “discovered” in a club in the late 1940's. It is documented that in 1949 Goldie was working the Cat & the Fiddle clubbut before that, Goldie happened to be around when a dancer no showed on her shift. It just so happened that Goldie was the same size as the absent dancer and fit her costume. BOOM 💥 History was made!
In a cutthroat industry like Las Vegas striptease, Goldie was noticed right away and had a long career with steady work in burlesque but was in the height of her career from 1949-1960’s. She filmed Teaserama in 55 then Buxom Beautease In 56. Goldie is documented to have worked at the Silver Slipper in the 1960’s.
