Nashville Stripping History was epic and so was the back pain. I had been traveling entirely too much and not taking care of my body. I couldn’t find time to do yoga and it’s hard to eat right on the road in certain spots so my body broke down, hard. It is a delicate balance staying healthy, especially in the life of a road dog. Here I am trying to do some bathtub stretches after stripping history. Trying to maintain some sort of fluidity 48 hours after being grounded to the floor with pain. Fortunately I had a fantastic chiropractor and massage therapist who worked tirelessly on me so that I could actually make it on stage the night before. I was shocked that I could stretch as much as I did in the bathtub. So this is a cute, fun little video of what I do every single time I get into a bathtub. I stretch my body and practice giving good face. It’s fun and goofy but so am I. Moral of the story here is listen to your body. If you have body pain, contact a professional, work on a better eating and exercise regimen. Some of us are very physically active but we don’t understand what our bodies are doing therefore we can compound already existing issues by not paying close attention to what our bodies need. Pain is your body communicating with you. Pain is your body telling you it needs your attention. Stop and listen. Find ways to move and care for your body that do not cause pain but rather reduce pain and inflammation.
