It’s not about...

....Loving yourself when you’re skinny or your skin is perfect or those jeans finally fit just right. It’s about learning to love the journey of life inside this glorious body you were gifted.

If we wait for perfection to strike to love ourselves then we will be waiting an eternity to feel the freedom of self acceptance.

People call me brave or confident because I’m not afraid of my flesh suit. I’m neither brave nor confident, I just love my flesh suit, scars and all. My body has been good to me and I’ve worked hard to be good to this body so that it can be a vessel for light. I treat my body as a temple built for sin and overindulgence because holiness does not only live in ethereal perfection, it also thrives, with deep soul, in the world of “imperfection”. And honestly, anything we don’t see on a magazine cover or in a music video with frequency is labeled “imperfect”. Most of us are not on magazine covers or rock videos. Most of us are paying into an outdated ideal standard of beauty that we don’t really even want to believe in. Most of us are tired of killing ourselves to maintain this make believe standard that no longer serves us.

Don’t deny yourself of love because you have an imaginary line you need to cross before you are worthy of wearing a bikini or trying that pair of pasties or ordering that cute g string or experiencing mind blowing sex etc.

don’t fret about your stretch marks don’t think on your “imperfections”, just celebrate your favorite things about yourself every moment of every day. What’s even more, reach out to let others know their beauty and worth. Allow yourself and others to just be. To be content within our own skin. Stop talking about people’s bodies like skin is shameful or fat or skinny or colorful is wrong or somehow not saleable.

You are enough.

I am enough.

Perfect

I am one of the guilty ones. I used to be very picky about the women I dated. So here is my story: I saw a picture of a lady one day that did not match my preferred or should I say "Maxim magazine cover lady". Curiosity killed the cat. Years later I met someone with similar shape as the picture. We began dating and on our first intimate day I notice all the things I did not like before. After a few months I realized how beautiful the lady is. Everything that I did not like from her became irrelevant. She had such an inner beauty and great personality. Behind the stretch marks I saw a goddess body. Yes, she is close to 200 lbs. but it is the sexiest woman in the planet. When I saw your pictures on Facebook I realized you have a similar body and your love for history are equal. We are not dating anymore but we are great friends. Yes, I got permission from her to share our story. I will never make the mistake again and miss so much beauty that filled my heart like no one before.

You are a women for any era, this photo could have been taken at any point in the past 100 years and you would have been considered beautiful in all of them.
