Because they are already oxidized so if I purchase new seed beads in this color, it will be extremely bright compared to the oxidized beads on the costume. The thread was cotton. It’s incredible it lasted so long! I still need to go through and re-thread every single strand of beads but that takes time…

I hate to see any of the costumes get damaged but I also hate to see them live the rest of their lives on the shelf. He’s costumes begged to be danced in! I do my best to make sure they last as long as possible. I know many of them will probably die with me.❤️ also, sadly, Burlesque is a very taboo subject still in America. It’s very interesting to watch people squirm as you pitch a burlesque show. It’s very interesting…😂 I have a traveling museum for these costumes currently. Our next show will be in Nashville. The show is called “stripping history”, the next one will be at corsair distillery in May.
