The Last of Us Part 2, which is what seasons 2 and 3 will adapt, is definitely not for everyone. If you don't think you'll enjoy the rest of the show and don't want to watch anymore, I would do that. Many people who played the game didn't continue after Joel's death. At least not immidiately. I will say there is more to the story, parts of the 5 years or so that you haven't seen yet. There is some missing context for things. As for Abby, what you feel is what pretty much everyone felt. Except you have more context than us. We didn't know who she was or why she killed Joel in the game. We learnt that later. So at least you have that. I was with you though, I didn't care why. I still don't, however my feelings are complex. But I can't really say more than that without spoilers. If you do chose to give the show the chance to tell it's story, I wonder how you'll react. Also, on a minor audio note, I couldn't undertstand what you were saying during loud action scenes in this episode. You were kinda drowned out. I dunno if the sound mixing was different or what? Just wanted to point it out.

2025-04-21 21:01:49 +0000 UTCI haven't played the games and as a PC player I wasn't really involved in the "controversy" when the 2nd game released. But I got 3 things spoiled (and all of them happend now): Elly is a lesbian, Joel gets killed and there is a character Abby which everyone hated. However, I thought that Joel will die at the end of the season and thats where season 3 will pick up. I'd have never guessed that it will happen so soon. I originally thought that everyone hated Abby because she is lesbian but I understand it now. I hate this character too, what she did and her whole story arc so far. I hate revenge stories in general. NOTHING good comes from revenge, EVER! Its also not good for yourself to seek revenge. I hate it and its a trope that is used in stories way too much and I generally don't watch shows or movies anymore where this is a major plot point. I'm quite sure that I would have stopped playing the game at this point. I don't know AT ALL what happens now in the rest of the show, but I guess Elly will seek revenge now too. She already said so. And I hate it. I dont know if she will be successful or not, but I guess so? Did I mention how much I hate it? *sigh* HOWEVER, Abby is a fictional character. I hate the character, but I don't hate the actress. I think she does a phenomenal job, like any other actor on this show. Its important to distinguish it because people did insane things to the original actress Laura Baily who voiced her in the game. I just feel empty after seeing this episode. Don't know yet if I can watch the rest of the show 😢
