I agree much of this season feels rushed, but I do think I prefer it over season 1. But killing Izzie was a strange choice. It's like they thought they needed a big emotional moment - and it works, mostly - but I think a different choice could've worked too. For example instead of just cutting to Ed and Stede with their inn, have a big, dramatic declaration of "I choose you over piracy" could've been emotional too.
