Buffy full reaction - 2x20

Hey guys! So for some reason my intro footage got corrupted. Really unsure what happened, but I'm really glad it was only the intro and not the actual reaction. You really didn't miss much anyway. I was just saying how excited i was for the episode and thought it was gonna be a big one (lol) and also how i thought they either were gonna go fishing or that there would probably be a fishmonster they would need to fight. That pretty much sums it up haha hope you guys enjoy the reaction :)

feel like the worst thing was when Buffy was ranting about it to Giles and co and they acted like she was annoying to be talking about it and like what on earth?? Giles should have been wanting to beat that student up. it felt very out of character for all of Buffy's friends to dismiss her

It definitely felt more out of place than out mind out of sight just because the master was nowhere near as evil as angel nor were the stakes this high prior to the finale. I will be releasing the finale at the same time :)

...... "After the fall of the soviet union" always cracks me tf up too. It's just so jarring and over the top, I like to say the line aloud with him when I rewatch and then laugh about it. I greatly enjoy the horror vibe of season 1 and season-1-type episodes so I do enjoy watching this one, but rape jokes are cringe and actually bring this episode below Bad Eggs for me. Last episode when Buffy made a prison rape joke, Xander literally responded with "yikes" so it's a little confusing and disappointing for the show. Buffy being threatened with sexual violence is not unrealistic and I guess it's interesting that she's threatened with it in the human world (Cameron) and the supernatural world (Cameron and others as fish) with the coach enabling it both times. Sexual violence is another privilege afforded to the "winners" and is even seen by the coach (who represents larger social systems) as a necessary "sacrifice" to acheive "the win." I mean that's the whole deal with Hollywood and the MeToo movement in a nutshell. But with the way the lines are written, it's all treated like a big joke and so barely even lands as an important theme in the episode. It just ends up feeling like a thing that is happening and that's it.

Not sure if this one is a season one old script but I know Killed by Death was a rewritten season one script so it’s possible this was too. Though Buffy did this last season where they had a build up for The Master but the pre finale episode was about an invisible girl. Great reaction looking forward to the next two. Do you think you’ll do a two episode release for the finale or will you split them up on the normal schedule?
