this was really the first time where a scene lived up to its name in a sense where a character says how traumatising the death would be for the kids. and it really was that traumatising maybe even more so than I could have imagined

Ergo, I just wished we got more focus on Giles than he was given. But I do like the moments we did have with him.

2021-03-20 09:55:33 +0000 UTCThis is truly one of the scariest big bads of Buffy, despite me not loving this episode. I just realized/or remembered how weird the placement was of the episode. It's the first episode following Jenny's death... like.. what were they going for? "Everyone dies. Even kids. It sucks" ??? There were some good overarching plot and moments throughout the episode, but the overall theme- my goodness.
