Do you get a notification when a chapter is unlocked?

Some authors have it where I'm notified when it becomes available but I dont know how they do it. SME is one that does it, he's the author of The Oscillation and Undying Empire on royal road.

2021-06-06 21:06:31 +0000 UTCIm a $1 Patreon and every single time I know or think there’s a new chapter I have to check the posts to see if there is a new chapter to read or not. I have never received a notification on Patreon so far for when a new chapter unlocks. Though I have only been a Patreon here for a little bit over a month or so. To actually get a notification when a new chapter is released for my tier would be great.
