Hi all!
I haven't done much drawing this week, choosing instead to spend the last days of 2022 with my family and making up on a lot of lost time from an incredibly busy production season. I've been playing a lot of board games and Mario Kart.
But I wanted to drop in before we close out the year with at least one last piece of art (I attached a hi-res layered psd file to this post) as well as a quick note to say how thankful I am for supporting me on here. It's more helpful than you might realize. I had some crazy, surprise expenses spring up over the past few months and I was only able to cover them because of y'all here. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you.
I've said before that I really want this Patreon to be more of a fan club than anything else. That means not just the early (sometimes very early--haha) look at new art, but also extra insights and sketches, process stuff and downloads. I want to offer even more in 2023 though, so my plan is to start sharing further inside looks at the graphic novels I'm working on (there's three!), some bonus artwork I haven't been able to share publicly, and--finally--some exclusive merchandise available only to subscribers. It's taken me a while to figure out how to do this, and I think I've cracked it.
If there's anything that might make this Space Cat Club a little more fun or beneficial to you, please let me know! I'm always open to suggestions. I might also look into Discord if there's any interest in that (tbh, I don't even know what Discord is).
Starting Tuesday, it's back to full-time graphic novel work for me. I've got a couple months to get the second Spidey book complete, I move on to a third one immediately after that and then this summer my attention will primarily be focused on my passion project: A three-hundred page middle-grade, treasure hunting, fantasy OGN I've been developing since 2020. I can't wait to dive back into it. I also have a handful of character sketches I still need to finish for folks so, for those still waiting, expect them soon.
It's gonna be a busy 2023. Can't wait to share it with you guys. :)
