The Next Retrospective - X MEN

So it's been awhile since my last update. I figured you were all due a bit of good news and something to look forward to!

I've been working hard on the next retrospective and I'm pleased to reveal that I am about 70% of the way through a very long video on the history of the X Men video games.

As expected - it's sprawled into a massive exploration of the series' wider success and failures - using the games as a framework to talk about so many strange X Men related topics.

We'll of course talk about the movies, the comics and cartoons - but there is also a section discussing late 80s American toy lawsuits, a British studio illegally reverse engineering an NES, and somehow - the creation of a Wu Tang Clan fighting game.

It's a damn weird video but if you are even slightly interested in Xavier's mutant freedom fighters - there will be something to enjoy in this video.

Now as for when you can expect it - that's a little hard to answer.

I've got my second surgery booked for August 20th but unfortunately, we won't know how extensive it is until that day. There are certain tests that have to be done which will inform the surgeons about how many lymph nodes have to be removed and the difference between 1 and 5 can be quite large.

I'm hoping and praying that it's on the low end so that my recovery will be quick and I can get back to finishing this video. If that's the case I'm hoping to have it out before September but if the worst happens and I need lots of sites removed - it might be a fair while before you see it drop into your sub box.

So with that in mind I want to again say a massive thank you for continuing to support me during this time. I won't bore you by repeating how hard it's been but just know that having my patrons behind me while the channel isn't going to plan has been amazing.
