Hello gang! Hope you're all good and have had a fabulous July. Here's a little roundup of what I've been up to since my last update on here, complete with clickable links on the titles to direct you to The Content (tm). Oh, and the header photo this week is a sneak peek at the front page of my website I've spent the last couple of weeks designing on and off as the cover picture, would ya believe it?! Coming to an internet near you very soon!

This month, I finished my playthrough of Silent Hill 2 (2001) on PlayStation 2! Getting through two iconic entries in the franchise has been such a joy, and to do it live with a brilliant, chaotic community has made it all the more fun. You can watch with the series on the Ash Millman Lives YouTube channel Fuck Maria, am I right or am I right?!
Other streams this month are listed here:
Born From a Wish extended SH2 story | Silent Hill 2 Playthrough (Part 8)
Final boss fights and the WORST ending... | Silent Hill 2 Playthrough (Part 7)
Toluca Lake and wife hunting | Silent Hill 2 Playthrough (Part 6)
Historical society and prison | Silent Hill 2 Playthrough (Part 5)
CAN YOU NAME EVERY MARVEL STUDIOS MOVIE? | Survival Series

Somehow I've infiltrated yet another YouTube channel, and this time it's Cutscene. If you like the work of Luke Owen and/or the Wrestle Talk, PartsFunknown, and No Rolls Barred gang, then you've got a treat in this new film-focussed channel, where the first Survival Series format tested my Marvel Cinematic Universe knowledge. IN REVERSE CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER. My face says it all. We also did a cute Q&A about the experience over on Instagram afterwards, and have another episode of pure embarrassment lined up to come out soon.
Here's a bonus behind the scenes pic where we all look like Hot Topic managers, but old. Tepid Topic coming to a regional managers meeting near you.

This month I make a voice appearance in 'The Eyesore', which you can access without a subscription on the link below:
S21E11 The NoSleep Podcast - FREE
I have two curated playlists on Spotify that I keep updated with NoSleep voice work, with one for freely available episodes and one for paid episodes listed below. Just to note, paid episodes are ones I've appeared in but past the free listening point, so are my contributions are only accessible for those that are NoSleep subscribers:
Alone in the Dark | The Derceto Files | Episode #02

Episode Two of The Derceto Files has hit THQ Inside, and this episode is all about H.P. Lovecraft, cosmic horror, and the eldritch nastiness shaping the latest Alone in the Dark game. There's a really bad quiz and lots of chat about all the weirdest parts of Lovecraftian fiction, as well as the wider Cthulu Mythos. I think this is the episode I smashed a bunch of the set accidentally? Keep your eyes peeled...

Longlegs, the biggest horror movie of the year, is in cinemas today! I had the opportunity to see it in Prince Charles Cinema last week (my first time at that cinema and a lil bucket list moment) and posted my thoughts on Twitter, then got sent a birthday cake as I am a special angel. Or a victim. I guess we will see soon.
I took a bunch of pictures with the cake before burning it but these two make me look the most like a pyromancer/pyromaniac, which I then indulged in by firestarting over on Instagram. There was also a gorgeous copy of Dante's Inferno included in the package - a little nod to Oz Perkins inspirations and themes, perhaps??

The little leggies handing out of the big fella's mouth are so cute!

I've also been to see MaXXXine in London for a multimedia screening introduced by Ti West himself! Thoughts on the film as well as a Hollywood headshot pic from the night are on Instagram, and here are some pics of the setup on the evening. Lots of 80s horror references, porno shop neon signs, and bloody DVD shelves. It was a great night for home décor inspiration, honestly.
Personal Life
As for outside of work, I've been going through a breakup with my (ex-)boyfriend of three years that has sent me into a bit of a wobble. It's all amicable, but comes down to us having different opinions on whether we'd want to have children (or not, in my case). I am always very open about what's going on with me so that's why I put this here, please don't feel like you need to say anything about it if it makes you feel awkward. God knows I've done enough talking for about 17 people at this point!
Also I had to have my wisdom tooth out (which I am obsessed with I'm so sorry I can't stop talking about it). Here are the x-rays because, again, this is the sort of thing I'm fascinated by, so if anyone else is morbidly curious you can look at my gob too.

Moving forward, the next month or so looks like it'll be a lot more focussed on the Ash behind the camera rather than the Ash in front. I'm seeing my friends more, doing new things, and trying to connect better with the life side of work/life balance now I've got the time to explore it more. It might mean I change some things around, or it might not. It's been a really hectic year so far, you know?
I put it all into perspective for myself recently and was like, oh man, that explains the constant overwhelmed feeling. I quit my full time job with brilliant mates, which has meant moving out of my own flat in Bath back to my parents hours away in Wolverhampton, I've set up a business from my teenage bedroom, lost my 20 year old cat, my boyfriend broke up with my womb (lol), there has been family in hospital, and my mental health has been in need of a good kick up the arse for a long time, but it's become a lot more apparent recently. All of this has been in the time I was supposed to take to actually reset ironically, so please be patient with me (if you can!) whilst I continue to figure this out.
If there's anything you'd like to see more of on Patreon just drop a comment below. Otherwise, have a fabulous weekend and I'll be back with more fun stuff very soon.
Peace and love, blood and guts,
Ash xxx
