The June roundup is here! Sound the klaxon!! Titles link out to all the work that's now available, clickety-click. Thanks so much for being here my lovely patrelings.
The Silent Hill 2 playthrough started this month, and it's been a blast to see what the survival horror icon is all about, even if the main characters are making a DANGEROUS enemy out of me. Here's a full list of streams VoDs you can watch from this June:

Still Wakes the Deep is a Body Horror Nightmare
In case you missed it: I released my first proper YouTube video on my main channel! It's a review of new horror game Still Wakes the Deep, which I massively enjoyed playing through and felt it was perfect to kickstart this new video creator chapter with. It was ace to get into writing and working to an embargo deadline again, though I already have a bunch of stuff I want to make even better next time. Hope you enjoyed this one!
I was also blessed with a PR kit for the game which had a bunch of cool Scottish necessities in - think shortbread, kilt socks, and a Thermos - as well as a little cassette player for a physical soundtrack. I always think these marketing bits are really interesting and LOVE watching TheRelaxingEnd for unboxings, so it's very cool to be able to share horror editions when they come to me as well.
Talking Terror with Remedy Entertainment
As a Producer for The Horror Games Awards (!!!!) I got to jump in on a Talking Terror podcast to annoy Kyle Rowley about Alan Wake 2 earlier in June. We've seen all sorts of surprises since then for the game and its DLC, but it's still a super fun chat to whack on for a listen if you want to learn a little more about horror game making from the director himself. We stan Kyle!
Alone in the Dark | The Derceto Files | Episode #01
Fun fact: when recording The Derceto Files, I was told the title was actually, seriously The Ash Files, so ended up panickily adding it into each of the intros just in case they didn't like that I hadn't used it in my research and planning. Now I have accidentally included that very HUMBLE name for no reason since they went with the Derceto title.
Anyway, this is a podcast series of three episodes that go into the various facets of horror in Alone in the Dark, with the first ep now on the THQ Nordic Inside YouTube channel. An honour to be podcasting, hosting, and horror-game focussed all in one job :)
Horror Hangout #338 : Sting (w/ Ash Millman)
I've been hanging out talking horror with the Horror Hangout podcast again, this time for Sting! This one is quite unhinged and we go on for a WHILE about various Stings (bees, The Police bassist) as well as all the good and could-be-improved parts of the actual movie Sting. Love a good deep dive and HH's silly sense of humour. Definitely check them out whether it's this episode or their wonderful, spooky back catalogue.
8 Unhinged SECRET Video Game Skins! (Feat. Ash Millman!) | The Deep Cut
Reunited and it feels so gooooood ๐ถ On from my previous Jules meetup pic last month, we shot a collab list where we look at a load of weird secret skins which is on the FGS YouTube channel right now!
Future Games Show Summer Showcase 2024
The Future Games Show Summer Showcase went live on the 8th of June, which I was invited to co-stream (thank you for coming along and chatting if you were there)! It was a meta one for me as I was actually part of the main show doing voiceovers for game details in the Ones to Watch Yearbook - like Once Human, The Casting of Frank Stone, and a Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 Deep Dive - as well as a guest chatting extra titles on the after show, Expansion Pack.
Warner Brothers very kindly took me on a content creator trip to see new horror movie The Watched. You can see a mini film review as well as footage from a Q&A, woodland dinner, and foraging session on my Instagram, but here's a big group pic where I managed to be the only one with my eyes closed and a shot that didn't make it to socials with Flavour Fred the forager.
As part of the trip I met writer/director Ishana Night Shyamalan, lead actor Dakota Fanning, and producer M. NIGHT SHYAMALAN. You can see in my face how cool I totally kept it...
Very cool, see?
Peace and love, blood and guts,
Ash xxx
