As we wrote in our previous post, the 0.5 cycle is dedicated to bringing improvements to the app [meanwhile we’re working on custom characters]. Among these are improvements in visual fidelity. Not only for our characters with the experimental fur shader, but also for our environments.
Here's a upgraded version of the ocean house that Pegashis, our level designer, is working on.

We're hoping this level will be part of the 0.5.0 release.
We're also working on other things, like a blacklist filter and the ability to set slider values through an input field. Furthermore, we're adding ambience to the levels, starting with the ocean house.
Lastly, we've made improvements to the force push / pull functionality, which hopefully should reduce jittering and produce smoother movement.
It's not yet decided when the 0.5.0 release will be, but we're aiming for next week although it's not a promise. It depends on how many issues we run into along the way.
