Weekly Update!

Hey all, real busy day for me haha, so might be shorter than usual. Been learning about a bunch of stuff for Unity, and there are not enough hours in a day. Will be getting started on the update for Jikage Rising soon, but wanted to squeeze in a couple more lessons, tutorials/ trial and errors.

Speaking of which, do have a question that I'm kinda curious about. I'm thinking that for the next non-parody game, we'll have a mix of pixel animated scenes (somewhat detailed, not like the pixel sprites in Nano-control in case you are wondering haha) as well as drawn scenes. The plan is that the pixel animated scenes will be for easily repeatable stuff, ones that you can somewhat easily do in the overworld, and it would allow for easier customisation options as well, like outfits on them while y'all are getting it on, while the drawn animated stuff will be for story scenes.

What are all of your opinions on this by the way? Would having a mix of drawn and pixel scenes feel less immersive?

Jikage Rising planned stuff for v2.20 (ETA: v2.20 for Patrons 15th Feb, v2.19 for Public on 1st Feb):

-Hanabi x Hinata

-Animation to be added for Fuu and Samui

-Yugito to be added

-Prepping for April's fool event

Understood, will try to get a sample up soon.

Not quite yet, mostly testing the waters at the moment before committing any resources and time on it, but it seems pretty positive so far, so might have a sample soon.

Smiling Dog

Not against it. Can you provide an example of what you intend?

I think it's a good idea, it's great to vary a little, be more unique

Yuya

As a fan of Nano-Control I’d love to see it, especially if it’s more advanced

Soup

I think it would be a good mix just to allow for a greater variety of content and situations

Hopeless

I think you’d have to show us an example of how the pixel scenes would look like first. It’s kinda hard to jump on board without actually knowing how’d it look. But the overall idea seems good
