A lot of people get confused bc of the merging thing but it usually clears up in the next ep when they see that they're actually two spirits

The location bound spirit hasn't shown up or done anything in the show yet. Also I'm pretty sure that show the grandma was on was not her own and the one she was watching and laughing to was simply her favorite show that she watches.
