Really enjoying these uploads. Your reaction to Power's entrance was awesome- I think MAPPA did that so well. Her theme tune is just brilliant

2022-10-19 12:35:17 +0000 UTCWell Fiends are basically Human taken over by Devils, so they have characteristics that are not human like, in Power's case she has Horns. So basically the Devil takes the Body, there is nothing of the Human left. While Denji's body didn't got taken over by Pochita, Pochita just gave him the Heart so that Denji could keep living. So he is still Human, just with the ability to Transform. Also Not really a Spoiler, but the Anime skipped/changed a part. The car scene is way shorter in the Manga. All that happens in the Car is basically that Denji's stomach growls, they decide to go get some food and Makima gives Denji her coat. When they arrive at the resting area and order their food, a man comes to the shop and says that his Daugher got taken by a Devil. Makima then asks what Denji's name is. And then says that Denji should go and deal with the devil alone, because otherwise her Udon would get soggy. Denji then says that he has Udon too. but Makima reminds him that he is her pet now and all he get to say now is "yes" or "woof" and that she doesn't need a dog that says "no". And then say that Dogs that they can't use get euthanized. Denji then is running to find the Girl and while he is running he thinks, that he thought Makima would be nice, and that he liked her, but that she is a psycho and treats him like a dog and then he remembers Pochita. (which all happend in the Car in the Anime). Then he finds the Girl playing with a Devil, when Denji wants to approach them the Girl defends the devil and says that the Devil isn't bad, that he devil is just protecting her from her abusive father. Denji then shows that he is not only nice to Pochita, but also to other Devil if they are good devils, by saying that they can run away. Because if he would just ignor them it would be bad for him. The Girl thanks Denji and grabs his hands, but in reality the Devil takes control of the Girl (because it's the muscle Devil, that can control all muscles it touches) and then grabs Denjis and twists/breaks his arm. The Devil than says that it will have some fun with the Girl now and Denji should just sit there like a good boy. Denji then revv's his Engine by grabbing the cord with his mouth and says that now that he knows the Devil is a piece of shit he can kill him without hesitation. After that he takes the Girl and makes his way back to Makima, Makima then says "I see you're a dog i can use" and Denji replies with "woof". And then he collapses into Makima's boobs from being exhausted because of the blood loss. Makima then asks him how he ended up with a body like that, and Denji gives the Pochita explenation. And then he gets his food without blacking out before. Some say this isn't important and it's fine that it's skipped, I think it's some what important, since it really showed that Denji wouldn't want to kill Devils that aren't bad. You could says that the scene later shows that too, where Denji kills the Fiend, because of what Denji says, but Denji only said that as an excuse because in reality he didn't want to get blood on the magazines. Also when Denji ask that typ for Person Makima likes, she said "People like you, Denji"
