Best reaction I have seen to this episode so far the way you were freaking out and calling Zoro the goat was my exact reaction as well. The way you analysed it at the end was just gold as well just true genuine reactions is what I love to see. Couldn't wait to watch this episode reaction on your youtube since it seems that you have taken a break or something so had to get the patreon and man was it worth especially because I can see the other reactions early as well. Keep it up AJ!

I think this episode may say that Zoro endurance even greater than Luffy, tho Luffy probably still the strongest.

you know, i extra appreciate the times that sanji and zoro show up for each other and understand each other. it feels so special, what with how they usually interact with each other. i love when you can tell that they actually care a LOT about each other, especially sanji. he always acts like he couldnt care less about the male members of the crew, but if anything happens to them, hes so worried immediately and actually gets pretty emotional. he was so so happy when usopp came back to the crew, and here he didnt hesitate even a second to give his life for luffy and zoro, and everyone else. uuughhghkfgjhdf i love these characters so much!!!

i mean, zoro would probably do anything for luffy, he was willing to die for (and with) him like 6 seconds after they met so...

Remember not to underplay Sanji's gift to what this situation was

Sanji knows that Zoro is the true penultimate strawhat and knows that he will put his life on the line. The king of the pirates needs the strongest swordsman. Sanji wants to protect Zoro, and put his life on the line for him because he knows how VALUABLE Zoro is. Sanji was willing to DIE for Zoro because Zoro will bring him to his dream of pirate king. But on the other hand Zoro knows how important Sanji is to feed Luffy.

Zoro is immortal confirmed. Helps to be so bad with directions I guess

To expand on your analysis on Zoro's loyalty, he went in sacrificing himself with the idea that he was going to die, so it wasn't just a question of loyalty to his captain, it was Zoro essentially forfeiting his dream in order to protect Luffy's. He proclaims that Luffy will be the King of the Pirates and tosses his swords aside. Which is crazy when you consider what he said when Luffy asked him to join his crew. "If you ever get in the way of me accomplishing my dream, I'll kill you." What a brilliant twist of irony, that Zoro would set aside his dream for the sake of Luffy's life, in order to ensure that his captain could pursue his dream. Couldn't ask for better character development.

The older i get the more I like the small things to One Piece. it's like the old folks say; "It's the small things that matter". And now I'm feeling older and it's like Oda always was like that. He is just and old wise guy who's lived twice.

A moment I've been waiting for since Robins 'I want to live!' Fantastic reaction AJ; exactly why we all enjoy watching you react to the show! And pausing wise is great, I wouldn't want you to just skip past all the big moments anyway 👍 everyone needs to a moment to digest it sometimes

OMG AJ's face when he realized what Zoro was about to go through was priceless!
Also, a fun trivia for you AJ(don't worry, its not spoiler or anything):
The author, Oda, once said Zoro should've died in this moment, but his soul got lost, so he ended going back to his body

Don't confuse character development with fleshing out characters. By fleshing out characters I mean that their personalities is set in stone and will not change. With fleshing out characters I mean what we will simply see more sides to them and be more familiar with them, see how far they would go in certain circumstances. To see more of them, to see their honest personalities and what they stand for.

Also the next arc is going to be really huge in setting up the second half of the grand line, and in some ways the 2nd half of the One Piece story. Lot's of questions answered during it, and some epic as hell moments

"Nothing happened" has to be up there for one of the greatest one piece moments/lines, right up there with "I want to live" by Robin

Welp, nothing happened. Geez, now I was already a Zoro fan before I watched this episode the first time, but this cemented his GOAT status for me. He is a badass! BTW, you're good on the pausing.

It just hits me now that after Kuma extract the red bubble, he didn't actually throw Luffy on the ground, rather put him back carefully.
A weird thing that a warlord would does despite him giving his word not to harm Luffy.

You're good on all the pausing man. I love hearing what you're thinking while stuff is happening, and the pausing helps so you don't miss what happens during these packed moments. Really great reaction to a really awesome episode

While the Nothing Happened moment is iconic it's also a great way to show how far Zoro has grown as a character Since could imagin episode 2 Zoro doing something like this for luffy?
Also the reason why Zoro survived id because he was walking twords the light & got lost
