Just for some clarity. The writer of Goblin Slayer, Kumo Kagyu is an avid player of Dungeons and Dragons and based his series off of D&D. I heard a rumor that Goblin Slayer might be based on one of the writer’s own characters that he played, but I can’t confirm if that is true or not, only that the series is based on D&D. The constant dice references is a reference on how players use dice to determine an outcome in a situation. The "gods" of the world are basically the players and the Dungeon Master
