2021-05-22 14:26:59 +0000 UTCI really like Moria. Not the most impressing villain, but a very unique one in terms of what his character means. Just like other sagas have a theme that goes through it (friendship in Arabasta, dreams in Skipea, coming of age in Enies Lobby), Thriller Bark's theme is fear. Apart from the obvious Scooby Doo cheesy horror, all of the enemies powers are based on deception and manipulation, with Moria being the peak of it: he is such a shadow of himself, he no longer has any strength to back up his ambition, and just lazes around hoping to win with schemes. The best description I ever saw of him was "a Luffy that has lost everything". So he's really interesting if that sense, even if admitedly he doesn't look as cool as Crocodile

I can't remember how the show worded it, but it might've had some mistranslation if it said that the zombie loses it's whole personality. Moria's explanation kinda goes hand and hand with Brook's speech to his zombie. The way the characters explain it right now, all zombies maintain similar mannerisms from their shadow, but a full zombie loses all it's memories and will of its own. Those are the two key changes. That's why it was significant that Sanji's zombie was protecting Nami instead of following orders to catch her. But Brook's zombie is willing to cut off Brook's afro despite that being the most precious thing to him now.

2021-05-22 05:39:50 +0000 UTCYa the reason why Sanji's shadow was in such a weaker Zombie than Zoro is because they thought he didn't have a bounty dew to the photo. Also at the begining of the Arc when the coward trio entered the Mansion the reason why they didn't want to let Ussop in intinaly was because they thought he didn't have a bounty either unlike Nami & Chopper who both can be reconized on their wanted posters... even if Chopper has the worst bounty amount EVER
