It played when he made up his resolve and jumped of the cliff at the end. Also, the next life was the successful one so let's hope we develop a pattern

It doesn't answer everything, but tells all about when Emilia woke up from the ice, before she met Roswaal, and tells about how she met Puck, I think you will like it, and will help understand her mind state this season, if anything.

By the way, if you haven't, I recommend watching the Frozen Bonds OVA which is on crunchyroll! I already watched it and helps provide some context around Emilia's past! It'll help fill some questions about Emilla and Puck's relationship too! Even some scenes from the OVA was shown in one of the flashbacks in this episode! ^_^ Besides that, thanks for the reaction!
