I really, really hope you’ll watch Mr. Sunshine after the masterpiece that is Signal! Mr. Sunshine is so phenomenal in screen quality, writing, acting, everything— I can confidently say you’ll be so so immersed in that one. One of the most beautiful dramas. + as a perfect, realistic, and my personal ultimate number one of all time (It’s a My Mister style, which is very telling!)- you NEED to watch Misaeng/The Incomplete Life sometime. It hits home, esp for ppl who work. I watch it every year, and it’s absolutely your style since you loved My Mister.

I've always wanted to recommend "Signal" for you. I don't like childish and cringe-worthy stories. I tend to fall into serious, heavy and sad stories. I'm sure you'll really like "Signal" if you and I have the same taste. I like "My Mister" too, but I think "Signal" is still the best drama. I hope you make a good choice! I highly recommend "Signal"! "Signal" is the most representative crime mystery drama in Korea. This drama brought a new horizon to Korean dramas. And now it has become famous as a classic masterpiece in the drama world, and it has influenced many dramas that came after "Signal". So, you should definitely watch it! +) "Juvenile justice" is also really good! This is a drama that most realistically shows the dark side of Korean society and crime in recent times. The plot is very good too! I think it would be nice if you watched this drama someday!

Hi, Aaron. I really wanted to take into account what you're looking for in a kdrama. For someone who has already seen these 5 kdramas, I can clearly tell you that Mouse is the one that completely meets your expectations: Realistic, dark and heavy as hell tbh. Mouse is a crime-crime kdrama (with very, very little science fiction) that is chilling, so to speak, creepy (even in the musical themes). It touches on psychology and what would happen if we could detect the psychopath gene before birth. The further you go in the story, the more twisted and unbelievable it becomes. The ending is just surprising and incredible, never known another series that turned my stomach this much. If you are looking for a kdrama with a really good actor who manages to convince the emotions of the character, I recommend it ++. My name is not specifically dark, there is mainly action and a basic and classic storyline, I would say that it is the least heavy series on this list, but it's good. Taxi Driver is a revisited version of the movie with DeNiro. The subject matter is dark, but that's it, it's an heavy series, but not that much. Beyond Evil would be the most realistic, a detective series. It’s also very dark. The acting is impressive. The evolution of the characters is something that I have to leave to the director because over the course of the episodes, the way they gradually begin to change is very well done. Signal... I would say that it’s above all : Very popular. It doesn’t really take into account the criteria you are looking for in a kdrama for the moment. It's dark, but not that dark either. What sets it apart from the others is that there is a romance. The actor from Taxi Driver is also there and I would say that he is really good. Honestly, it's a very good kdrama, but not what you're really looking for. Seeing the score of this kdramas poll, I think that people voted for what they prefer and didn't take into account what you are searching for because I would say 10000% that Mouse is the kdrama that would suit what you are looking for right now. It’s one of the best rated series because the storyline is really tough and well done. Objectively, It’s what a would call ‘’a masterpiece’’ kdrama. I’m someone who never liked popular kdramas like Goblin, Vincenzo, Snowdrop, Descendant of the sun, Crash landing on you, Squid game and even Hotel del luna. I prefer kdramas like Flower of Evil, Devil Judge or Pyramid Game, all three very different and dark.

I voted for Signal among them cause it’s really a masterpiece! And there will be season2 next year because it’s that popular and good. If you want to watch a crime mystery drama, the top kdramas are 'Secret forest', 'Signal', and ' Beyond evil'. They all won the Baeksang Arts Award for Best Drama(Secret got Daesang though). All three are truly masterpieces. And I think My Name and Taxi Driver are not realistic. They are not as childish as Vincenzo, but they are unrealistic like Vincenzo. Of course, other dramas are not completely realistic, but they are relatively realistic. If you want completely realistic drama, the Reply series and Mr. Sunshine are the best. Reply is not dark, but it is realistic, so dark incidents appear indirectly, and Mr. Sunshine has beautiful colors, but the content is very dark. Also, among dramas with bright directing but dark story, the best one is 'When the Camellia Blooms'. So what I’m saying is, my top recommendations are Mr. Sunshine and Signal.

If you want an heavy , Dark drama you should Watch « SAVE ME » this drama is about a girl and her family who moved in the countryside and her parents fell in a cult (the main character is the girl from Its Okay to Not Be okay : Ku monyeong) I’ m sure you gonna love it 😊
