2020-08-19 20:08:44 +0000 UTCDude, if too much goes into deciding what’s filler, just watch it. The animation team will use it to tease important canon concepts (which they did these episodes) and a movie (that I haven’t seen) apparently does that as well.

The translation might've been a little weird, but it's implied that the paper Ace gave to Luffy was blank, "just a scrap of paper" That's all we know about it at this point of the show. Also I haven't seen these fillers in ages, but I'm very glad you're watching them. I'm now realizing that there are little things hidden in these episodes (other than Ace's paper) that are very important to the main story in the near future.

2020-07-29 07:21:12 +0000 UTCYeah about fillers, I really don't mind when they are not an entire arc, but one or two isolated episodes lik these, specially when they connect so well with the plot.( Going forward you will see fillers that are... really out there to say the least)There just one filler that escapes that logic and I really love that is related to Chopper, I find it really fun

2020-07-29 01:10:24 +0000 UTCI believe it's pretty neat to skip the fillers, to keep the story tight. I did that, and when I was done watching the real story I went back to watch the fillers in order and the movies. It helped me quell my cravings when I caught up:)
