And such a nice way to be introduced to something that is such a huge part of my life now. Being nonbinary. This show saved me in many ways. Can't wait for more! Especially the Tamaki and Kyoya focused episodes. Those are my faves.

2021-02-26 19:18:36 +0000 UTCIn general, every episode of Ouran is top-notch, but this episode is, at least in my opinion, the kick-off episode of sorts where the series goes from really good to just straight-up amazing. With a few exceptions (that speak more to my personal tastes than the quality of the episodes) every single episode after this one is an absolute gem full of great comedy and super compelling character development. So happy to be here through it all!

2021-02-26 17:52:06 +0000 UTCHonestly, I always found that a good deal of the humor in Ranka’s initial issues with Tamaki was simply a matter of Ranka seeing all the things that were annoying about Ranka’s behavior being reflected in Tamaki’s behavior and not seeing that Tamaki is basically a younger version of him just like Haruhi is so much like her mother is described.
