i personally think its nice to see an isekai that focuses more on the social building and all that stuff rather than a heros journey that most of them do especially when the protag is as they say almost a mini god its much more interesting to see where he takes this growing empire of his rather than just fighting cause even if he is as powerfull as he is he still needs to figure things out just power cant deal with

"OP main character with meta-knowledge comes in and conveniently solves all problems and any seeming obstacle is an illusion that is quickly dispelled." is a wish-fulfillment formula I have seen many, many, many times. Even Overlord fell prey to it, and I LIKED that show. I'm not saying Slime is a bad show. I enjoyed what I watched of it. I liked the characters and humor and self-awareness. I just saw the same repetitive cycle I've seen many times before, and decided I'd rather watch something else. Not a judgement call on quality, just how I want to spend my time.

2019-01-17 15:16:27 +0000 UTCI didn't think it was formulaic, epsicaly after episode 7. Just wish the opening didn't spoil so much. The show is basicly a empire building isekai rather than a MMO one. I mean there is no harem stuff it's a major sausage fest so there is that . BTW I'm an anime only watcher haven't read the novels and I'm only up to the latest epiosde what at this time is ep 15.

I've seen this formula before, so I just kind of fell off watching it. I hope you find more enjoyment in it than I did!
