For me, Love Set is very interesting, probably the most interesting out of the four short films. The story they want to tell was very subtle so it can be explained in many ways. I was expecting you to dissect the story more so I was a little bummed out that you didn’t.
Anyway, I think IU’s character was in love with her teacher, that’s why she was so against their relationship. If you think about their dialogues and the way her teacher subtly touched her hand while she gave her the ball at the end, it’s very obvious that the two of them had a thing. Also, the way they shot the whole tennis match was very very sexual. For example the slow motion and close up on their thighs, their sweaty necks and faces, their sweaty backs. Especially the scene when the teacher take the ball out from her underwear, it almost can be seen as she is seducing her. Some people might not agree with this but I see the tennis match as a metaphor of them having sex.
Short films may not like Kdrama which can introduce the characters and story slowly, but we can read so much in the short amount of time given by analyze how they shot the scenes, the dialogues, the sets……It’s very fun. There are also different interpretations of Love Set, you can search them online if you are interested.

IU said, "She is hot-tempered and honest with her emotions. It was really hard because one of the things I didn't have was to burst into anger, but I was really angry when I played tennis in the hot sun. I think realistic acting came out.(laughs)"
