Kinda late, but the IP address thing, actually makes sense, the police said that they located his IP address and caught him in the cafe, so he was basically caught at the scene. Also, the reason he left the phone In the cinema before he met with Jun Yeong, i think its because he didn't want Ji an to hear whatever is going to happen, that's why he came back.
