This is my second time watching the return. Like you, I had a lot of confusion my first watch and was projecting my expectations for it to get back to classic Twin Peaks. I’d say just appreciate it for what it is, a continuation, and the story, because it really is brilliant (and I’m appreciating the beauty and brilliance even more my second time). I had two thoughts: you mentioned Mr C being Windomish… I hadn’t even noticed this until watching your reaction of E1, but the Bonsai plant in New York is very Earlesque. thought 2: in episode 1, the giant told him 330. But the arm said 253. It was the wrong time maybe? The giant asked if Cooper understood and he said yes. To think, if he had told the giant he didn’t understand, maybe the giant would have been like, “oh yeah, don’t trust that arm guy. He’s going to trick you. Whenever he tells you it’s time, just wait for 37 more minutes.” Bonus thought: (I wondered this watching your reactions of the original.) I wonder if the arm (played by little Mike in original), is literally the spirit of Mike’s severed arm. Didn’t Mike remove it to amputate the evil?
