2023-03-08 11:35:26 +0000 UTCAnyway I don't think Toriyama even had planned for Goku to be an alien yet at this point either, since Goku was just meant to be based off of Sun Wukong. Though, I'm sure he knew that if DB was gonna continue to be a thing that he'd have to explain what made Goku different from everyone else on Earth, like why he had a monkey tail or goes Great Ape during a full moon. He's not enough like an animal-type Earthling to be categorized as such.
