2023-04-04 00:07:48 +0000 UTCA lot of people have made content pointing out America's deliberate deconstruction of the Iraqi state, and the seemingly deliberate construction of the Iraqi resistance forces, but you never really see people acknowledging the fact that the Iraqis did a "good job" through the conflict in many ways. I like the angle that the Iraqi resistance's success is due just as much to their preparedness and sophistication as it is to America's constant strategic failures. There is something to be learned here, other than the fact that this American provocation and manufacturing of conflict guarantees an armed resistance: that the resistance they create will operate independently of the plans of the aggressor, and the degree of the success of the resistance is not predetermined by the scope or tact of the invasion.
