Added 2025-03-09 16:28:48 +0000 UTCI'm curious if you guys care about how long something stays Patreon exclusive! Like- if I post something publically a week after I post it here- does that kinda make the Patreon less valuable to you? Because I don't mind if you guys think I should keep stuff exclusive here for a bit longer. I know some creators have a months worth of backlog, some people only have stuff exclusive for a DAY. But they usually work faster than me, so. I've had stuff up for a week- and there's been times I've kept stuff exclusive for nearly a month. So it just depends.
I'm curious- does that influence whether or not you feel like your sub is worth it? Because if it does- feel free to tell me how long you think is reasonable to keep stuff exclusive and I'll listen. Like your loyal dog...

I do the Patreon thingy just cause I really like your art aesthetic rather than for exclusivity. Like... A few weeks tops, if you really gotta put a barrier on things. But I feel like half of advertising as an artist is putting what you've done out into the atmosphere for all to see as soon as possible.

2025-03-21 07:39:07 +0000 UTCI just see Patreon as a tip jar. Personally, I don't care if you post stuff whenever.

2025-03-20 21:21:32 +0000 UTCI think of patreon as a tip jar but also as a platform to have some exclusivity, so I would say probably at least 2 weeks to a month at most before making it public

2025-03-09 23:29:24 +0000 UTCEchoing what others said, 2 weeks is satisfying for both someone who subs and a dirty peasant. Long enough to feel like theres benefits of subbing, but not so long that people forget about it.

2025-03-09 20:14:10 +0000 UTCPerhaps...I just can't cashout at all unless I have at least 5 active subs there- and I've never been able to break that. It doesn't seem to make sense to stay- because money accumulates but it can't be touched.

2025-03-09 20:09:35 +0000 UTCPersonally, I'm here purely here to give you support because I'm very grateful for your talents! I'm not concerned about exclusivity at all, I'm just here to support a cool rat!

2025-03-09 18:10:42 +0000 UTCDo what ya feel! The only thing that puts me off is when stuff is exclusive forever (or worse, only available in a limited window) - that's the only exclusivity stuff that's caused me to unsub from pats in the past

2025-03-09 17:51:35 +0000 UTCI view patreon as a way to tip really, so art limited time exclusivity is pretty neutral for me!

2025-03-09 16:38:36 +0000 UTCpersonally I'd probably go with 2 weeks between making posts public or possibly 3. give 'em a little bit of an exclusivity to patreon members. I'm mean in the end I'm still gonna stay subbed to ya on here regardless

2025-03-09 16:36:33 +0000 UTCDoesn't affect my decision to stay on, personally
