Daily Short: Eve 05

Crystal Core had an infinite number of applications, but at the moment Eve was utilizing the one that worked with Eternal Memory. It allowed her to replay a combat scene searching for opportunities that had been missed, or improve her skills. She most definitely didn’t use it when bored as a substandard version of T.V. because that would be silly!

Turning back to her patented streaming channel in Crystal Core’s feed Eve looked once more at the previous battle.

In the attack it had started with the D.S.S.T drilling into the underground lair of the enemies. She leaped out of the command cab and instantly entered combat. It was clear she was a skilled warrior with enchanted armor that was totally not copied from any three letter superstar’s movie chain, and wielding her Jian with precision she charged toward a group of enemies. It was a team of melee combatants surrounding a spellcaster core. The attack was against the recent Tenebrae group. The ground trembled as she made her way through the battlefield the automated cannons in her massive tank, breaking through mage shields like frying bacon.

The enemy soldiers tried to attack her, but her armor was far superior to anything seen, and their weapons bounced off harmlessly. The inset runes negated force upon the metal turning physical attacks into wet noodle blows. Eve swung the Jian in a wide arc, striking the first soldier in front of her and sending him to the floor in two pieces. She pivoted and struck again, slicing through armor and flesh with ease. It had been trivial to let her Jian eat some of the Dungeon’s better metals turning it into a reaper’s deadly sword of death.

The remaining enemies in the group were caught off guard by Eve's ferocity, and they quickly began to falter. She swung her sword left and right, her movements quick and fluid as she dispatched her foes with deadly accuracy. Behind her the Loki Familia teams flooded out of the tank’s compartment entering the beachhead in formation.

As the battle raged on, Eve's tank sniped with pinpoint precision, firing sabot sniper shells and quietly supporting her efforts. The enemy soldiers were helpless against the onslaught, and soon they began to take reckless strikes with increasing rage.

Eve dealt with them in a calm unhurried manner as one of her Core extensions, Combat Bot, made her attacks look like a perfected dance of murder. Eventually, she stood alone amidst the smoldering wreckage of the battlefield, her sword and armor glowing with magical energy. She had emerged victorious once again, her enemies vanquished before her.

With a fierce determination in her eyes, Eve hit the replay function to watch one of the few pieces of entertainment once again!
