Status update Episode 12

Happy New Year! I hope you're all safe and sound and had a great New Year's Eve.
The holidays are over for me, and now it's back to the full-time grind. I haven't got a lot to report on this week, but here's what I've been up to.
I've mainly been working on a scene with many characters, and I'm almost done. It has involved posing both animations and static renders; the scene is heavily branched, which makes it long. And I don't mean it has 5-6 variations; it's more like 15-20 (I'm scared to count).
During days when I couldn't get much work done because of the holidays, I worked on adding phone content to the episode and wrote dialogue.
I'm close to reaching another milestone for episode 12 - hopefully, I'll reach it next week.
There's nothing new to what I'll be focusing on next week, but I think I have a decent enough animation queue now so that I can work more on static renders. Working on this big free roam event for these past - how many? - weeks, has made me want to work on other areas of the episode, but I'll likely keep going until I'm done.
Since I saw it was mentioned, I will do the annual Q&A later this year, as I want to focus on completing Season 3 development first.

2026-01-07 13:41:13 +0000 UTCFrom what I've tried, and there were quite a few other very well-rated stories after BaD literally got me started on this genre, I can say that this story game holds a very high overstandard among the others and it's definitely worth waiting a little longer and letting the idea and plot develop rather than rushing. I'm excited that in this story game the dialogues are going somewhere and there's not just rambling about nothing and pointless animations, but everything has its purpose.

2026-01-07 03:35:39 +0000 UTCAfter almost a year of having ep9-11, I saw an entirely new scene! I made one simple change with party planning and there it was. I love this game! How much else do you have buried in these episodes? I can't wait to find out. I know now that the slightest change can make a big difference, I already did, but I have a better handle on it now. 15-20 branched scenes? Seems you could hide a lot of good stuff in there. Can't wait to see. Happy New Year DPC, and all! Even more uneventful updates from you are better than most other dev's can muster on a good week. Keep on rolling.

I have never been approached by these stories before and if it weren't for AI I wouldn't even know about it but during the conversation he very warmly recommended me to try this story game that I would definitely like it and I was surprised that he really wasn't kidding and Being a DIK is like the moon in the night sky among other story games, where a brighter star appears here and there, but none of them shines as brightly for us as a full moon. We keep our fingers crossed and look forward to the next sequels 🤗♥️♥️♥️👍
