Status update Episode 5

Steam news
In one week, Being a DIK: Season 1 launches on Steam. I'm in the middle of preparing the final touches to the public build.
The price of the Steam version will be $13.99. The first week of sale there will be a 10% discount and if you want to pick up Acting Lessons at the same time, there will be a bundle with a 5% discount.
I've worked on making the walkthrough available as DLC content for the game on Steam, as well.
The winners in the Steam key lottery will be picked this Sunday. If you haven't done it already, enter the competition by commenting on the post in this link.
Patreon news
Due to the Steam release, as of today, Being a DIK:Season 1 is moved to the $10 tier, as previously announced.
I'm going to move the game to this tier in ~8 hours, so you get a final chance of grabbing it in the $5 tier.
Future releases of Being a DIK: Season 2 will follow the same schedule as always and the updates will be available to the $5 tier.
Last week, the Patreon Music goal was reached. Even if the patron count has dipped below, I will start adding licensed music to the game.
Please note that I won't replace the existing music and that I will still add CC0 music that fits in the future.

Development news
This week I have some proper development news. Since the release of episode 4 I have worked on episode 5, as much as possible, between juggling other tasks.
I've written the layout of the episode and a good chunk of dialogue. My PCs have been rendering non-stop and animations have been prioritized.
45 animations are completed and 40 animations are in the queue. From the looks of it, the animation count will be somewhere around what episode 4 had to offer.
I currently estimate that episode 5 will be somwhere between episode 3 and 4 in its size, but this may be subject to change.
All in all, I have my work cut out for me and I will be able to focus 100% on episode 5 development after the Steam release. Due to the Steam release, there won't be a status update next week.

2020-02-18 07:11:03 +0000 UTCI do have one serious question to ask, why was there never an option to EGG the PREP Fraternity, I played the game many times choosing different options and unless I missed an obvious clue there wasn't that option. But how hard would it be to take a couple of EGGS and toss it against the Prep house the wall isn't that far from the property. I feel a setup here.

2020-02-18 07:09:30 +0000 UTCI have a lot of these games because of the skill and time put inot the games but this is by far the best one I have seen to date. The time, energy and skill put into the game is great. I think the time spacing is a bit quick for some of the days, but I'm going with the flow. I wish there was more of an interactive menu or a option to go someplace but that isn't in the script so it makes sense. Maybe offer my restaurant options, they can even be repeat options but it gives the MC a place to spend the hard Earned $$ in the game. It would be cool if there was some way for the HOTS to know the MC was helping out more. I also don't understand the limited options of not being able to do more then one task in freemode on a given day. These are just my opinions nothing more.
