Status update Episode 1

I spent this week working a lot on the framework, while rendering animations. Something I want to have in the game is an in-game phone. So, I did a mock-up and boy it really sucked.

This was the first draft I made last Saturday:

...it wasn't any good. So, I spent this entire week on creating a superior version and as of today it was fully completed. This is the new version:

In this week's post I wanted to talk about this phone and all of its 12 different apps. Every app is fully functional at launch (I don't want any "Work in progress" stuff in BADIK). Some apps can only be accessed during free roam, due to their nature, but several apps are always available. 

Apps

1. Tasks - View the current tasks for free roam.

2. Call - During specific moments in the game you can call different characters.

3. Chat - This is the app I'm most excited about! It's an app used to chat with different characters. The chat is choice based and looks like this.

4. Notes - In this app you can update the name of the saved game (instead of having annoying pop-ups every time you want to save the game). You can also write a 500 character note about anything you want the game to remember for you.

5. Stats - This app shows your current stats, e.g. money and DIK score (the system that shapes your main character's attitude and other's perception of you based on your choices)

6. Skills - You can buy perks, study for classes and upgrade mini-game related skills in the game. You can track your progress in this app.

7. Bios - This app is very useful. You can read about every character here. Their history with you is updated when you make important choices in the game. An excellent way of keeping track of what happened in your game.

8. Game - You can earn money once per free roam from winning a mini-game. With time, you can buy upgrades that makes that game a lot easier.

9. Rewards - The special renders you find or earn in the game can be viewed using this app.

10. Scenes - The lewd scenes you unlock can be replayed using this app.

11. Background - Change the background of your phone using this app. More backgrounds than the default 10 may be included in future updates based on patron polls.

12. Music - During free roam you can play any music you want. Use this app to listen to a specific song.

The phone can be accessed at anytime in the upper left corner of the graphical user interface (GUI). But it is hidden, as I want a minimal GUI, so you will have to hover over the upper left corner to see it. During free roam you can also hover in the upper right corner to skip to the next song in the music queue (which is randomized).

I've spent a lot of time on the phone feature. I hope you like this preview. If you have any questions or valuable feedback, please let me hear it.

I haven't come up with a good way to report render progress this far. But what I can tell you is that 19 animations for Episode 1 are completed thus far.
