Progress Update: August 2024

Hey guys,

I've been fairly quiet for a while as I never really know what to post on here, and also because anything I make or type out takes away from when I could be actually making one of my videos... but, I have some time today!

And yeah, it's been a while so I thought I'd share what I've been up to!

VIDEOS (YES, PLURAL!)

Since I last spoke about anything regarding my channel at all I've made progress on TWO videos behind the scenes...

The first one everyone already knows about as... it's Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3!

I've surprised myself really in that I'm still very much on board to gradually cover the entire series... as I usually get bored or fed up of the idea but... nope, progress is still happening.

I think it helps that it's a series that has a gradual increase in movement options, with little in the way of story so I like being able to just dive in and make these little 20 minute videos where I can.

I'd say that video was around 50% (ish) complete when I last opened the project file.

That being said, It's a very long series of games and as I expected I started to lose steam with it as I'd only just spent two solid months working on the other two THPS games before it.

So I've decided to take a break and work on something else that caught my eye for the sake of my own creativity... and I think I stuck a nugget of gold for the subject my other video. At least in how it's awoken my video-making mood a bit!

A DIFFERENT PROJECT...

As you can see from the image at the top of this post... this has ended up being a BIG video.

 It's around 50 minutes or so, before making any adjustments to include the camera footage I need to film.

But I think it's still going to end up being around that length after all is done, to be honest.

I'm not quite ready to say exactly what game it's all about juuuust yet but... I'll say it's a return to some proper 3D platforming here, with a game I've had requested and mentioned to me in comments a few times over the years!

It's also a very popular game, I'd say.

Depending on my mood and the overall interest in the video from viewers... it could well be a series of videos I gradually do as and when I feel like returning to this particular set of games.

They'll be no major rush on my part but... I'd say the game is popular at the moment and the interest to look more into the series it belongs to is there on my part!

I'd say the overall progress for this video is 90-95% done with the only real things needing to do are any camera shots, and then balancing out the audio afterwards.

I have a couple of days off from work now, which is where I'm hoping to film everything... and from there... I'm thinking maybe this time next week I'll be in the endgame and ready to upload.

I'd say this game is has some very iconic imagery associated with it so my teaser will be VERY obvious to those in the know.
