Honestly, I get that Ariana is way more famous than any of the guys, but IMO the guys don`t get enough hate compared to her?? Like, Ethan fucking cheated on his wife, she almost died, they had a new baby and he fucking cheated. It doesn`t matter if it's a girl down the street or the Ariana Grande. I feel crazy about this.

I think majority, if not all the men she has been with, she essentially stole according social media and the few reports from exs, which is sad. My question is...does she not have a therapist and do celebrity therapists just not discuss these things with their clients...because it's so messed up. Like whether you like her music or not, it's such an awful thing to keep doing.

2025-01-03 03:54:47 +0000 UTCEven if it's not actively being talked about, I think her point in part of the essay was that the damage has already been done, because it's always out there when you Google her name. In trying to be a private person who didn't have social media, I imagine when you Google her name, only a few results are about her professional life (maybe the website of her therapy practice, maybe a LinkedIn, maybe a conference or two she spoke at). Those links probably don't get a lot of clicks unless you live in her state and are involved with therapy. The vast majority of the other Google results, forever, are probably articles that mention her name in relation to the drama with ex-husband and Ariana, and Google likely pushes all those results to the top of any search. Whether it's real or imagined, she seems to believe that potential clients and colleagues see all the personal drama she's wrapped up in and steer clear. So it's better to get this essay out there and give her some humanity and ask people to give her a chance, instead of just being a passing mention in someone else's story.

2025-01-02 23:03:52 +0000 UTCSo i knew 2 people with more fame than twitch streamers. One being a voice actor in a prominent show and 1 being an anchor on a popular comedy show. At least at their level the gossip didn't stop. Everybody loves gossip and the more famous you get the more access you have to juicier gossip. There was always a line with what they were willing to share. A lot of behind the scenes stuff that I never heard about before was talked about but some stuff it was like I didn't have high enough security clearance to hear it lol

2025-01-02 22:56:00 +0000 UTCSo regarding the Ariana topic (and maybe the Blake topic I guess?), I have a question, as someone who doesn’t mind hearing a bit of gossip about people I know but I don’t seek out celebrity gossip at all: is there a level of fame people achieve where they detach from the celebrity gossip machine because they’re in too deep? Does Angelina Jolie still pick up a copy of People magazine and read hot goss about Jennifer Anniston and Kate Middleton? I know QT and Maya are nowhere near Hollywood A-list celebrity, but they are Twitch internet famous enough that they’ve both been the focus of headlines on certain websites that distort their actions or intentions to fit a certain negative narrative. So I guess I’m surprised they’re not more jaded about celebrity news presenting things without full context, when they’re personally familiar with gossipy sites/accounts tearing them down for the clicks. No judgment on QT and Maya, they can like what they like, but just as a viewer, seeing some of the attempted character assassination they’ve both endured, it gives me a distaste for the entirety of it. So back to the Ariana thing. It’s a beautifully written essay from the therapist lady, but I also feel strongly that we just don’t know the state of their marriage that then led to their divorce. I want to imagine that close friends and family of therapist lady and musical actor guy have a different understanding of why the marriage fell apart, compared to the simplistic public perception that Ariana just swooped in to steal a married man. The swoop is the spicier, good-vs-bad version, but humans are messy and I assume the truth is much more complex.

If that therapist was able to just fire off that level of beautiful prose while speaking off-the-cuff, mid-interview, no prep, she'd be like top 5 most eloquent geniuses alive, and I would feel like a caveman by comparison.

Definitely pretty common from what I know, and it makes sense; therapists are going to be much more likely than the average person to realize if they could benefit from therapy.
