She’s been pretty transparent about that. You might not like it as a viewer, but spinning her to be some kind of awful addicted iPad kid is just a completely unforgiving and false reimagining of reality.

Clay showed the most growth and throughout the show he tells ad he has a lot to work on himself. Even at the wedding he wanted to keep dating her as he worked on himself. Jeramy total piece of work. Laura was super aggro and a total mean girl. She would make fun of other cast mates. Chelsea was highly highly insecure. All throughout the show she’s constantly asking “what’s wrong what’s wrong why don’t you love me why don’t you say it” etc etc that final fight he had left for 90 mins total to celebrate his friends bday and she freaked out and said she didn’t want a guy who parties all night. Only funny part about Johnny and Amy was how little he knew about birth control 😂

2024-03-22 04:32:15 +0000 UTCIf I can offer my take on Fear& and QT getting cut off, I think it's a systemic problem that will never be fixed. As an outside observer, the show is chaotic, everybody interrupts everybody all the time (I can't tell if QT gets interrupted more and/or it clearly bothers her more when her story/topic gets derailed, but even the men interrupt each other constantly), and it feels like no one on the pod is truly being a good host/MC that can stop and say "but we should return to that previous topic/story we didn't finish". The show often feels too ADHD, too no-short-term memory for anyone to have the presence of mind to say "OK, but finish the story you started", and instead the vibe is "what were we talking about? *everyone shrugs*". I like Fear&, but its energy and chaos are both its strength and its weakness. They probably wouldn't steamroll over each other's stories/topics so much if they pre-planned like a Google Doc rough outline of what they all want to talk about that week, but it seems like they don't often plan/share that ahead of time.

2024-03-21 12:20:57 +0000 UTCIt's that, for me at least, some of the posts there are a bit cringe, like links to tiktoks or memes that 1 person found funny/made about either Maya or QT and it's very hit or miss. :/ I think the issue stems from subreddits being usually good to ask questions about a specific topic and here we have ~2h of content with topics that vary every week and a lot is about their personal life (ie. this one where Maya talks about someone from college) that you can't really relate or ask questions about unlike subs that are for video games, relationships, politics or even a streamer in general, especially because it's not livestreamed and the subjects are spontaneous so people can only post after seeing the episode which means they would only see the posts on the next podcast. And thus most of the posts are about "they should do x or y" or "this [meme/tiktok] reminded me of Maya/QT" or a question unrelated to the last episode of the podcast to one of them.
