Hi QT and Maya, Ex-chewer/ current Zyn user here. Fiberglass in chew/Zyn is a common myth! In chewing tobacco it’s actually salt crystals and the nicotine is absorbed through the salivary glands. Zyn is tobacco free (still not great for you but better than chewing tobacco?) but still does not cut you. It’s just a pouch of nicotine and other chemical junk. Love the pod and thank you for the weekly content!

2024-03-14 22:16:56 +0000 UTCI personally love guest episodes and think they're a really fun way to do things when Maya is unable to record, even though I miss her personality. I wouldn't really see advanced recordings as an "improvement" to this tbh. I'm gonna be honest, if you're that big of a fan then you know how QT reacts to things and that 99% of the time she says things dramatically whether she means them that intensely or not. BUT the underlying theme of what she was saying holds true. They're already doing the best "solution" to Maya not being there, bringing up your suggestions during the time Maya was doing important stuff in the *Amazon* was probably not the best timing, and offering suggestions to a largely non-existent issue isn't really "constructive feedback". You'll find a lot of podcasts suffer from complaints of guest episodes even when the full members are there, but again, this is largely due to personal preference (or not liking a particular guest) and not really something to give feedback on unless the creator directly asks about it. You don't need to unsub or anything, unless you feel like you're not getting value for your money of course.

I didn't interpret your post as being offensive, but I'm just a fellow fan. It's so difficult trying to communicate with short comments instead of having a face to face conversation. Anyway...I've had depression since I was a child, and I know how lonely it feels. I wish you nothing but the best.

2024-03-13 19:45:28 +0000 UTCI wasn’t ‘pissy’. I was explaining something that bothered me (and a few other members I talked to) and offered a simple solution, should they WANT to take it. I’ve never experienced a community that is so hateful and intolerant towards anyone even OFFERING a different perspective towards possible improvements. I’m honestly shocked, as I’ve been a fan since episode 1. I’m also shocked that QT read my whole comment and decided to respond that way, considering I was clearly a huge fan and not trying to tear anyone down. I’m already suicidal and have already had a rough morning of receiving terrible comments about my looks; the last thing I want to do is make anyone feel bad. And don’t worry, for everyone saying to just unsub, I did. I just have access for a few more days. Truly didn’t mean to offend anyone. Have a good one, guys :(
