2023-10-16 17:38:44 +0000 UTCIt’s not that looking at their colleges is inherently wrong or anything, it’s just that acceptance rates are an extremely flawed metric of comparing colleges, degrees, or general intelligence and quality of work. I’d at least look into the individual colleges and their respective traits if I were to compare them that way rather than a guesstimate percentage rate on a flawed and biased system of evaluation.

2023-08-09 07:19:36 +0000 UTCim not surprised qt's therapist said she could have adhd. adhd and autism have a big overlap so you have a decent chance of having both. i have both. and when i take my adhd meds its like my autism shows more. i've also heard from other friends who are both say the same thing. so maybe the adhd meds can help you figure out if you have autism or not.

Maybe he was having a bad day, but saying "you need to pay and leave" as a first resort to a paying customer is just unprofessional and inviting bad reviews/word-of-mouth.

Qt should have kept track of time and wrapped it up by 11 or close to it but the manager should also not have been a dick about it. My guess is he had a long day and people have done this in the past and probably not reacted well when asked to wrap it up. Plus in this TikTok age maybe he thought it could’ve been a trend to see what the restaurant would do if you stayed late. He or the waiter should’ve come by at 11 and said “I’m sorry ladies we are closed or closing and will kindly need you to take the rest of your meal home, would you like a box?” The older I get the more I don’t get what the appeal of fireworks is. Usually it’s just noise not the giant Disneyland fireworks.

Abdominal and back pain after the procedure so bad you can't walk for a couple of days and barely function for two weeks to a month, and random pains for up to a year. I'll be waiting for less invasive methods or properly effective temporary male contracaption thankyouverymuch, big yikes. Apparently castration is less problematic than a vasectomy, it's wild. (Though then you get hormonal issues, so also no thanks.)

All my life since my pre-teenagers years is pretty much what you tell about yourself, antidepress working for a while and then not, social but kinda off the vibes, desassociating, strungling to go pass trauma because i felt like i never sleep, sleep and eating schedule a mess, etc etc, you get the point. Im from brazil, i've met others like me (autistic with "high functioning", wich means i pass as not a clear autistic, but compare to the other "normal people" i've always being kinda weird/excetrinc. I'm 100% sure you are autistic and ADHD too. You have all the characterisc of high functioning spectrum. Dyslexic, obssessive, bad in maintaning habits that you now are good for you, that you even like doing it. High moral ruler, always trying to understand what people around you want of you, getting right but with high brain cost. What I believe you have is not exactly depression, is called Autistic Burnout. It behaves like depresion but "its not" because the treatment is different, you have to understand what in the environment around you descharge yout battery. Can be sound, too much socializing, lights, odor, TOC, and many others. I've only got diagnosed because here in brazil the mental health scene increased a lot. So you can be more sure what you have, you need to find a NeuroPsycologist or a NeuroSomenthing. Only the Neuro.... area can have the skills to diagnose autism today, normal psychiatrist and psycologist have a very short and outdated knowledge. Srry for the long text, I wanted to have "enough" information so if you see it can relate to you. Im not parasocial, I started watching you before the diagnose and felt inspire by how you seemed to have the "same" difficulties, but make a living, doing a stream awards and all other creative things. I've got to know others like me, different in personalities but kinda the same issues. Believe me, an autistic is the best to see another one, you are in the spectrum for sure, you are at least a strong neurodivergent (dont ban me mods plsss)

The anesthesia really is just a pinch, my doctor would check with me that it was taking effect before doing anything more, and then for the actual procedure I couldn't feel anything. Weirdly laid-back experience. Recovery is sore & annoying.

It’s pretty normal for a few to linger and there’s closing duties to take care of in the meantime. It takes 2 minutes to clean off a table for 2 so I’m definitely not stressed about you. 2023-07-05 19:59:48 +0000 UTCHey not meaning to overstep but I am autistic and I do kinda see what you mean qt when you said u think you’re on the spectrum bc I’ve noticed a couple things just from streams and wine about it, not that that means anything bc I definitely could be wrong, but also sometimes it does turn out to be autism instead of adhd and depression and anxiety and ptsd although u definitely can have all those things with or without autism! I’m sorry I’m not trying to diagnose you I’m just trying to help/tell you my experience as someone who was late diagnosed with autism! Either way I hope everything goes well for you, you deserve it!

2023-07-05 13:56:05 +0000 UTCi read an insider article the other day on otter cafes in japan (bc of my friend + hasan) and it seems that they capture wild endangered asian small-clawed otters, throw them in tiny cages and give them a diet of cheese only. there's also been police investigations on the yakuza being involved with the otter and exotic pet trade. wish more people would think past the 'wow cute animal' part of animal cafes and realise animals aren't for our entertainment and consider what kind of businesses they're supporting :/
