If someone is upset that you told people about it that says more about them than you, and it probably fits in the term 'Victim blaming'. As a person who was previously in a cult (Jehovahs Witnesses) i think its more than reasonable to call it a cult and tell the bad experiences i had in it. If someone was cruel to me because of their cult I'm not going to feel bad about hurting their feelings by telling people about it (as long as you're truthful in the telling of it).

The playboy lore was very interesting and it makes me wonder what the stigma around playboy is today and how it's affected with the darker parts of its origin in mind. And I can definitely relate to the topic of what people think of you and the anxiety it can cause. I found out that what people think of you is rarely in your control at somewhat of a young age. As much as that can cause me anxiety, I can find solace in it as well by looking at it as it's not my job to decide for people what they think of me and its entirely on them. Taking that perspective on life helps me be more confident overall in my actions.
