Dev Log 0.45a: Groovy

Well, I sat down to write some Lina, and some Lina I wrote... I also wrote a bunch of other stuff!

Really, as I was talking about last week, I took the chance to just write whatever came to mind. Firstly we have a lovely little practice date with Lin. I'd kind of been chipping away with this once since I came up with the idea a few weeks ago. Not a super fun we're in love date (we all know Lin's true love is Lisa), more or a practice date... It goes interestingly.

Then I got a little inspired by some comments people were making.

Occasionally I make little charts about the characters, in this case:

It came up the difference between Lisa's favourite treat of a breakfast (eggs benedict) and just her every day routine comfort breakfast. Besides that... someone mentioned it would be great if they could see Haily and Cassidy enjoying cheese burgers... And I just couldn't not write it.

But honestly, this is supposed to be a Lina week, and I did get a bunch of Lina stuff done. A certain amount was triaging scenes out. Some scenes, like getting stuck under the deck, wouldn't really make sense when pregnant.

But given tonight was a bit of a late night, not all the prepared new content made it in... But a decent chunk did. In this case on Sunday Morning, Carla and Lina will be comparing photo albums. Lots of fun there.

Besides that, I have been making effort to not work quite so hard this week. Although you could be fooled, given it's 6:30 am... But it's been chill. While I don't carry work forward, I cant avoid carrying some expectations for myself forward each week. Some weeks are mediocre and I push myself to do better than that.

Of course, this works great for a week or two... but it's not the first time I've learned that the harder you work, the less work you get done. Probably wont be the last time I learn it either... But I made sure to take some time for myself this week and my productivity seems to be on the uptick once more, huzzah!
