Okay now dev log stuff!
So for some strange reason I get all sappy when I'm writing shower scenes. Sami in this case is a bit of a different beast than Alex... but it's always so invigorating to see how these characters react to the situations. Any writer will tell you that they don't necessarily know just how a scene is going to play out when going into it, and sometimes it's adorable.
After that there is now the Haily variant of the Lina perving on Sami scene. This one was inspired by a real life encounter I had with a colleague. She just stood there for 10 minutes talking about how she likes the nice long ones... but this other one is thicker, which is also very important. It was however a little too stiff to really fit in the rear. She was playing the pronoun game good and proper with it, she was sorting USB cables of course and completely innocent about everything. But it was a fun story to tell her about later.
Finally there are a couple of minor improvements to various scenes. A nice little render for Jenny and Lina as part of the intro, I eventually want to get at least one render in more or less every scene. Then on top of that I was about half way into writing Sami's progression scene, but it just kept getting bigger and I still have all the release stuff to do, so I called the days work on it, it left a small stub of where it will happen in Sunday dinner but I cut out about 150 lines of unfinished scene. It will be back next week (Next release for most of you... sorry) but that's just how weekly dev goes sometimes.
But yeah, for story time this week...
Well I had a whole thing about how you let the characters write themselves and what it's like to be a writer, but I've already said half of it and it was very very wanky, which rather ironically I tend to skip over. Instead there was something I realised recently... it is coming up on the one year anniversary of my first release. Now I've previously thought about doing seasonal things and the general theme was that the game was just too early and people wanted more content rather than me throwing a half month of dev time into some random bonus content... and I 100% agree.
So I'm preparing something but it's not going to be big. A few renders and such, maybe a little bit of story but I don't want it to slow down development.
Oh also next version I'm obviously finishing up the Sami scene and will be looking to finish up Alex C4 but there should be room for a few scattered scenes. But there is also some other stuff I want to cleanup and old feature that was cut but can be reintroduced in a good way. When all that is done it's going to be poll time again.
