FIRST TIME WATCHING: Peacemaker S2E1

Hey folks!

Due to the way my schedule shook out and with Stranger Things releasing later this week, I decided to start the next season of Peacemaker. However, I will focus on Stranger Things Season 5 starting next week and pick up Peacemaker once I'm caught up on ST. Hope this all makes sense!

Here is this week's schedule:
MON: Peacemaker S2E1
TUE: Peacemaker S2E2
THU: Attack on Titan S1E5&6
FRI: Pacific Rim

As always, thank you for your support here on Patreon. Until the next one, take care and stay golden :)

I think stranger things is only having 4 episodes come out soon with another 3 near the later part of December and heard these episodes might be 90 plus min long each, you could get away with just doing one stranger things a week possibly that would roll right out to when the next batch of 3 are being debuted

They basically DareDevil Born Again Peacemaker into the DCU. Soft Reboot. I was wondering what your reaction was gonna be for the Orgy scene lol

Just a couple things I wanted to mention: -Yeah they redid the scene at the end of Peacemaker season 1, purely because the DCU is a soft reboot of the DCEU. And so they wanted to make it abundantly clear that although 99% of Peacemaker season 1 is canon in the DCU, that Justice League cameo isn't. Man of Steel, BvS, and the Justice League film(s) aren't canon, nor are the Wonder Woman, Shazam!, Birds of Prey, Aquaman etc. films. And so we're starting mostly fresh, thus we have the Justice Gang show up instead. -Regarding the stripper bunny. That's an actual DC character named Jaina Hudson/White Rabbit, a Gotham socialite though she is a villain in comics. James Gunn loves his deep dives. -Those digs at Thirty Seconds to Mars part way through the episode and in the post-credits scene are due to Gunn's own sharp dislike of Jared Leto on a personal level. Largely due to allegations of having a cult and being inappropriate towards underage fans. Like, he's taken potshots at Leto on Twitter. -That moment when the alternate Auggie Smith leaves the room and tugs on Chris' ear affectionately was entirely improv'd by the actor Robert Patrick. (Who, I don't know if anyone's mentioned it yet or if you noticed yourself, is the same guy that played the T-1000 in Terminator 2.) -Like many have said the new song choice does grow on you. I think Gunn said that season 1 is about Peacemaker, while season 2 is about Christopher Smith. And there's something more emotional about this new song that I think fits season 2 better. It's called "Oh Lord" by Foxy Shazam. And the song played the second time Chris enters the alt reality, "Dreamer", is another one of theirs. Hell, the song in the Superman 2025 credits played by the fake band that Superman loves, The Mighty Crabjoys, is just Foxy Shazam playing a song written by Gunn and band leader Eric Nally. There's also another Foxy Shazam song played in season 1 episode 1 when Chris arrives via cab at his dad's house, "Welcome to the Church of Rock and Roll". Okay, I've rambled too much....James really likes them....and he turned me into a fan....
