"A gift" - New animation WIP snippet

Wanted to share for two reasons... firstly, as a little update to show what I've been up to, I think some of you will be excited to see this! Secondly, because I'm experimenting with a new technique in this animation and I think it's coming out pretty neat. See if you can spot it! I suspect anyone who animates or is familiar with animation might be able to see what's new...
No critique at this stage please! As you can tell it's very early, there's a lot of finishing and cleanup to do. But I just got approval of the first draft from the commissioner so it seemed a good time to share a little something!
Also, for those of you at the relevant tiers, suggestion posts are up- make sure you get yours in, I should be putting up the vote in the next few days.

2021-05-12 23:47:17 +0000 UTCi was going to say softbodies for the bed but I can't quite tell, that might just be careful bouncing on the controls for the characters. softbodies for mattress was something i wanted to look at for a project before I got frustrated at blender crashing and shelved that one until my skills get better. :| the animation is looking great!
