TWIN PAY BACK
Coming to a halt with a deafening screech, the tortured tyers of Fred's soft top reek of smoke. Jumping over the car door with confidence, Jake stands in the street outside his family home.
“Thanks, dude!” he excitedly shouts, holding a hand up for a high five.
Fred, his best friend, and teammate on the football team, quickly throws his hands up as he takes his hands from the steering wheel.
As Fred’s hand clap against Jake with a mighty thud, Jake looks down the street to see his twin sister, Abbie slowly ambling toward them.
He glares as he sees her holding her books so tight. Jakes’s always hated how much she’s a try-hard.
“Yo Jay,” Fred howls, trying to get his attention as Jake continues to stare his sister down. “How come yous twin is such a nerd…?”
Hearing Fred’s question, Jake shrugs without looking at him.
“I dunno…,” Jake quips emotionless.
That’s when he turns back to Fred and pulls a sinister wide grin.
“You wanna see something funny…?” Jake asks mischievously. “Check this out.”
Strategically placing his large rucksack in the middle of the sidewalk, he smirks as he struts toward Abbie to enact his devious plan.
“Hey Abbie,” he innocently greets her with a friendly smile.
“What!?” she growls, panting in exhaustion from the long walk back from school.
Stopping directly in front of her and blocking her path, Jake swipes back his long boy band hair.
“Don’t be like that……,” he complains with a clearly sarcastic tone, trying to sound innocent. “I just wanted to make sure you’re ok!”
“I’m fine Jake,” Abbie hisses, trying to push past her much taller twin.
Jake holds his hands out and stops her. He continues to grin down at her as he slowly backs up towards his rucksack on the floor.
Abbie continues franticly pushing at him, unaware of the trap laid out.
“Why such a rush Abs…?” Jake laughs, gently pushing her back with ease. “Mom and dad aren’t going to be pleased to see you. You heard them the other night…. You’re the black sheep”
“Shut it, Jake!” Abbie impatiently growls, gritting her teeth tight as her blood pressure rises. “Just let me pass!”
“Let you pass….?” Jake asks teasingly, easily holding Abbie back from progressing further.
“Yes….get out the way you dope!” she fusses, flapping her hands wildly in his direction in the hope he’d back off.
A sinister smile works its way across Jake’s face as he turns back to Fred. With a wink and a smug face that says ‘watch this’ towards Fred, Jake instantly moves aside in one swift movement.
Still pushing on him, Abbie is taken unaware by Jake's quick movement. She clumsily stumbles forward and without warning, trips over Jake's rucksack that was hiding behind him.
Her life flashes before her eyes as she falls forward like a sack of potatoes. Hitting the ground with her wrists stretch out before her, she slides across the rough cement cutting her hands and knees.
“YO…..Yo…..,” Fred cheers, bursting out with laughter as he looks at Abbie failing around on the floor. “What a nerd!”
“Fuck you guys!” Abbie cries, rubbing her eyes with the back of her bloodied hands.
“It’s a joke, Abbie….!” Jake innocently laughs, picking up his rucksack from the floor. “Not my fault you didn’t see the punch line coming!”
Howling with laughter, Jake pushes past Abbie on the floor and knocks her with his Knee. Still laughing, he waves goodbye to Fred and walks up the garden path towards the house.
Abbie, still in tears, trying to tend to her cuts, wipes her face once more as she looks at Jake just walking away from her.
“You’re going to pay for this Jake!” she furiously cries, sobbing with each breath.
“What you going do…..?” Jake carelessly grumbles, slowly turning back to look at her with a sour expression. “You’re a loser Abbie. You belong in the dirt.”
Swiftly opening the front door, he stops and looks back once again.
“Get up Abbie!” he scornfully shouts. “You’re making the family look bad.”
Hearing the front door slam, Abbie jumps at the noise. Wiping her nose once more, she sniffs hard and gets to her feet. Looking down at her knees, she can see they are badly grazed.
“Bastard,” she huffs under her breath, brushing the dirt from her skirt. “I’m so totally going ahead with it….screw it!”
Flicking hair from her face, she wipes her bloodied hands down her white button shirt.
“Just great!” she groans, looking at the blood stains she just created.
Trudging up to the house with a face like thunder, Abbie angrily kicks open the front door and steps in.
As the front door swings, wildly and thuds against the stopper, the noise alerts their mother. She stands in the hallway with a face of pure disbelief.
Abbie quickly looks up to see her face, and she grits her teeth in anticipation.
“ABBIE!” her mom growls, stamping her foot in frustration. “It’s bad enough you waltz in dirty and covered in…..blood I assume, but to announce your arrival in such a fashion is…. disgusting young lady!”
Abbie looks down at the floor and sighs. Tears still streaming down her cheeks as she slides off her shoes.
“Sorry, Ma,” Abbie replies meekly, gently pushing her shoes neatly to the side.
“Why can’t you be more like Jake,” her mom complains, stepping towards her purposefully. “Captain of the football team, head boy, and so very popular with his peers.”
“And…?” Abbie interrupts, staring at her feet, so her mother wouldn’t hear.
“And yet my daughter looks like she’s been dragged through a hedge backward while butchering meat. What do you have to say for yourself?”
Abbie timidly looks up at her mother's judgemental face and can only manage a sarcastic smirk.
“I don’t think that’s anything to be happy about young lady!” her mom criticizes. “If you have to dress like a middle-aged woman…you could at least be clean!”
“Yes, Ma…,” Abbie replies sullenly, deeply offended.
“Just get upstairs and clean up!” her mom commands, wafting dirt from her messy brunette hair.
“Yes, Ma…,” Abbie answers as she shuffles past carefully and heads quickly to the stairs.
Her mom scoffs as she takes the first few steps too quickly and stumbles. Awkwardly getting to her feet, Abbie’s eyes well up once more.
“Oh for heaven's sake Abbie,” her mom chuckles, walking away. “If I didn’t know any better…. I’d say you were adopted.”
Very upset, Abbie could only smile otherwise she’d burst into tears. She knew that would only enrage her mother more, so she pushed down her feelings and scurried up the stairs as quickly as possible.
Rushing to her room as quickly as her feet would allow, she slams the door and locks it behind her. Breaking into tears, she sobs with her head in her hands as her bag slides down her arm.
Allow her bag to fall to the floor, she takes a step forward and wipes her sore eyes. Standing in front of her desk, she looks down at the spell book sitting open.
“I can’t go on like this…,” she mumbles, touching the spell book with her index finger as tears roll down her cheeks.
Studying the spell book intently, the tears soon dry up as she focuses on the incantation detailed in the book below her.
Taking a second to think about what she plans, she wraps her hand in a soft material to stop any bleeding
Now looking completely serious, she takes some nearby scissors and cuts off a small silver of her hair, and places it neatly in the middle of the room. Upon the hair, she places a small, already prepared photograph of the family all together.
The photograph has been defaced. Jake’s appearance has been drawn to look feminine and much larger.
“Let's see how he likes it….,” she growls, reaching for a small jar.
Within the small jar are cuttings of Jake's hair. Abbie slowly and carefully removes them and places them onto the photo.
With all the ingredients she needs, Abbie starts walking in circles around the items on the floor. Speaking the incantation, she continues to walk in circles at a fixed pace.
The lights in the room begin to dim and flicker as the spell comes to life. Sparks and smoke waft up from the photograph as the hair in the pile begins to burn.
Abbie is not phased at all! She keeps chanting and walking in a perfect circle.
Eventually, the lights shut off completely and Abbie is left standing in the dark. The only light she can see is a dull purple flame in the middle of the room.
Then, almost like someone is blowing out a birthday candle, the flame instantly goes out.
Standing still in the pitch black, Abbie feels strange. Shivering, she feels like a thousand tentacles are touching her all over. She wants to scratch her body all over, but she’s unable to move.
Almost starting to panic, the lights flick back on and everything is as normal.
Not a single trace of the spell she just used can be seen. Not even a piece of smoldering ash remains from the photo or the hair.
Abbie rushes to the mirror and glares into it. Everything seems normal. She sees her normal self gawking back.
“Did…it work…?” she ponders, rubbing her eyes.
The silence in the house was somewhat new. She couldn’t hear any noises from downstairs or her brother's room next door. It caused Abbie to consider if she’d accidentally wished her family away.
Cautiously, Abbie creeps to her closed bedroom door and carefully pulls it open. Still unable to hear anything from anyone in the house, she really begins to worry she’s done it wrong.
“A little gender swap spell….shouldn’t make them all disappear…?” she mutters, creeping slowly down the corridor.
Now standing in front of her brother’s bedroom door, she swipes her hair back and presses her ear against it.
To her absolute relief, she hears movement inside.
However, this movement almost feels like the tentacles from moments ago. She can’t explain why a sound makes her feel this way, but she knows she has to go in and check.
Turning the handle so carefully it doesn’t even make a sound, she gently pushes the door open and peaks inside.
As the door opening gets wider and wider, she sees Jake laying on the bed.
He’s not moving and his eyes are shut. Assuming he’s asleep, Abbie takes a step inside.
As the first step into Jake’s room lands, the lights flicker and dim randomly. Just like they had done in her room moments ago.
“J…ake..?” she says, calling over to him as he lays still.
No response.
Moving to stand over him, Abbie checks his breathing.
“Thank god,” she whispers, looking at her brother’s peaceful expression.
Abbie’s face then turns a little sour. A long frown forms on her face. Jake was supposed to be transformed into her younger sister.
Abbie gently touches Jake’s muscular body and wonders if she did something wrong.
As she pokes him in the side, the lights flicker violently once again.
Letting out the longest and loudest groan, Jake’s body comes to life.
Abbie jumps back as Jake begins to writhe around on the bed. Like he’s possessed, his eyes remain shut, but his body jerks around uncontrollably.
Watching her brother in fear, Abbie puts her hand to her mouth to muffle her screams.
Before her eyes, his body begins to contort and morph.
First goes his height. His body shirks and becomes noticeably thinner.
Letting out another loud scream, Abbie sees her brother’s hips become wide, his waist becomes narrow and his shoulders become slender.
Unable to take her eyes off him, she watches lush, thick brunette hair burst from his head and splays all around him.
Inawe, Abbie is frozen to the spot. Only twitching with shock as two large breasts push up from Jake’s tiny chest.
Abbie has to hold in her laughter as the breasts jiggle underneath the tight t-shirt Jake was wearing, now struggling to hold his new girls in.
Curious, Abbie leans forward and checks between Jake’s legs. She can’t see anything…but she knew what was likely to have happened down there!
“Jake is going to be so mad when he finds out it’s gone!” she giggles.
“W-whats…..,” a soft voice creaks. “What's that?”
Slightly spooked by Jake’s now incredibly soft feminine voice, Abbie steps back and smiles as Jake sits up for the first time in his newly transformed body.
His long hair falling in front of his eyes, he franticly swipes to remove it. Pulling hard at it, he yelps in pain as he quickly realizes it’s attached to his head.
Confused enough by that, Jake reaches up to the new weight hanging from his chest. He squeaks as he touches them for the first time.
“J…Jake?” Abbie asks… moving towards him slowly to help tuck hair behind his ears so he can see.
“What!?” he grumbles, looking somewhat surprised at how high his voice sounds.
“This still isn’t right…,” Abbie mutters, stepping back to look at her brother’s transformation.
“Abbie..?” he nervously asks, holding his small slender hands in front of his eyes. “What’s going on? Why do I feel….so weird!?”
Before Abbie gets a second to ask, the lights begin to dim and then flicker like crazy.
With the lights almost like strobe lighting, Abbie turns to face Jake as he lets out another, more painful groan.
Jake looks down at his body and the baggy clothes he has on, and fears for his life. Not ever has he felt such pains. He felt as if someone was blowing him up like a balloon. He could feel his skin struggling to fight against it!
“ABBIE!?” he cries out, writhing in pain.
Gobsmacked, Abbie stands stunned as her brother's transformation continues.
Jakes's arms and legs grow wider and wider. His entire body and face puff out like he’s being filled with air.
The bed he sits on creaks as his weight increases with each passing second.
His clothes rip and tear off as they are completely destroyed by his transforming body. They hang from him with what’s left, barely covering any of his shame.
Eventually, his large breasts become normal-sized compared to his large stomach and overall body shape. Jake has gone from near adonis to overweight woman in a matter of seconds.
Still moaning, he can barely even look down at the large woman he’s become due to the fat under his now balloon-like face.
“A-Abbie….,” he cries out, muffled by the fat in his cheeks.
Desparelty trying to get off the bed, Jake struggles to find the energy to move his now larger-than-life body.
Abbie looks on with pure delight! This is exactly what she intended.
“Need some help Amanda?” she playfully asks, grinning at her brother struggling to move.
“W-what h-have you d-done…to m-me?” Jake wheezes, struggling for air.
“Only what you deserve little sister,” Abbie grunts in reply, full of spite.
Jake’s face looks terrified. He can barely comprehend what's happening! A million thoughts are running through his mind, but he has no energy to say what he thinks.
Abbie puts a hand on her hip with attitude and smirks at her brother.
“You wanna be you again Jake?” she asks, reaching down to help him see her clearly through the rat's nest that is his hair.
“Well…. you better listen. I’ve reversed our roles in the family. You are now the younger and least favorite child.”
Jake doesn’t say anything. His face just goes blank and as white as a ghost.
“I’m now the favorite twin and I can see why….you’ve really let yourself go, sis!”
Jake looks down at himself and he whimpers.
Abbie’s grin only goes wider as he does. This is everything she wanted!
“How about this…,” she says, touching Jake’s marshmallow face. “You slim down to my size…enough to fit into my school uniform….then I will change us back.”
Jake looks up in hope and gently smiles.
“You want that?” Abbie teases.
Jake gently nods.
Not saying a word, Abbie stands and walks to the door. Looking over her shoulder she smirks at the obese woman Jake has become. Barely able to hold himself up, he is almost completely naked bar his torn male clothes.
Not a single part of her feels sorry for him.
“You fat bitch Amanda,” Abbie snarls. “I won’t make it easy on you!”
Slamming the door, Abbie is full of delight. That look on her brother's face was one she would cherish!
“Abbie!?” she then hears her mom call up from downstairs.
“Yeah?” Abbie shouts back, expecting her mom to be nasty in reply.
“Will you tell your fat sister to get down here!?” her mom cries back.
Abbie’s face lights up in sheer delight.
“Hey Fatso!” she yells at Jake’s door.
