The sister Isabella was supposed to be the powerful psychic that would be possessed by Mammon... but she killed herself to prevent that. So they had to go to the cop sister Angela. Constantine saved Isabella from hell by trading his soul for hers and Lu agreed... in exchange for "the favor." Angela was always saying Isabella wouldn't kill herself and she wouldn't... except for something so serious such as preventing the spawn of Satan from taking over the Earth. Yeah that makes sense. I never paid attention to that part of the story. This movie is also satirizing church dogma, the crazy infallible rules... such as you deserve hell for killing yourself even if to prevent hell on Earth and saving countless souls. Nope, to hell you go.

He is known in the comics as one of the most powerful and smartest occult mystics, always using his mind and persuasion to get out of bad situations. The movie isn't amazing but definitely is a fun watch with a story I liked and besides not being English and blonde like the comics, Keanu does a really good job with this character. There was also a Constantine TV show that aired that was also pretty good. If you like this, The Sandman series is really good and is in the same universe as Constantine. Sandman and Constantine had several meetings in the comics. Highly recommend Sandman.
