Horikita fell into the trap when she bumped into the class C girl. She was not getting out of it simply by not following Kushida. And as for Sudo being stupid, anger issues are very real, and they can seem completely illogical or incomprehensible to people who don’t experience them. It’s not about being 'stupid.' People with anger issues get an intense urge to act out violently in retaliation. it's a powerful emotional impulse that can override rational thinking in the moment. It's not about intelligence. Sudo has a reputation of not being able to control his temper because its actually true. That is like saying "You have a reputation of not being able to write, yet here you are not writing", its not a valid expectation. It going to take time for Sudo to learn to control his temper.
