Wulf queen was still young to the throne but Carmilla found herself impressed with what she accomplished against all odds. She and Lupa killed her uncle along with the remaining traitor dires, skinned them all of their fur and cast their remains into the pit to rot. Both now adorning their kills, the remaining lesser lycans pleadging loyalty to her.
It had been a while since carmilla came across someone with that my fire, and that was someone she thought worth ensuring she kept her throne when others would come in the future to try take it from her. And carmilla knew they would.

And I always love how you do the lighting in your art, that's always the thing that strikes me first and this is no different. From the lanterns to the preternatural glow of the Queen's eyes.
